NATURE SOUL MASTERY ART EXHIBITION

We are all, plants animals and humans, woven on the same loom of Nature. The Velathri Art Gallery aspires to promote art which brings this to the foreground of human awareness, exploring, observing and contemplating the mystery of the living world and the one family of Life, exhibiting artists who are aiming to re-unite art and audience to Nature, through Nature, inspired in Nature, shaping materials provided by Nature.

Shaping a vision where elegance meets instinct, beauty shines from insight, inspiration embraces wholeness, movement rises from roots, artistry springs from intuition and mastery is fuelled by passion; where the focus is sharp and yet spiritual, the work delicate while intense, unique and universal, light but deep, sophisticated with the wisdom of the shaman.

Curating magical cultural experience in this ancient land of the Etruscans, who named it VELATHRI, said to mean terra felice, to bridge the ordinary to elevated celebration of beauty and vitality.

ANNALIA AMEDEO VELATHRI ART GALLERY SAN GIMIGNANO

ANNALIA AMEDEO | CERAMIC SCULPTURE

Annalia Amedeo was born in Naples and now lives and works in Rome. She studied in Florence as a restorer and for many years remained in this field collaborating on works with public and private buildings including Il Palazzo Vecchio in Florence and the Archaeological Museum of Naples, before dedicating herself to personal artistic research in 2011. She works in porcelain, choosing the finest materials, oxides and metal salts. She is inspired by nature and by the classical world, from antiquity to baroque, which she reworks drawing on contemporary models and suggestions. She is endlessly researching the deep harmony with nature while at the same time investigating the essence of the human condition in its most intimate aspects, its suffering and metamorphosis and the possibility of evolution and change. The artist expresses herself through an intrinsically fragile though durable material, which requires constant care and attention. She has participated in many personal and collective exhibitions, events and awards dedicated to artistic ceramics.

SONIA MARCACCI VELATHRI ART GALLERY SAN GIMIGNANO

SONIA MARCACCI | BRONZE INSTALLATION

Sonia Marcacci was born in Pisa and now lives and works in the countryside of Casole d’Elsa. She gained in 1989 the goldsmith’s qualification from the Tuscany Region. In 1996 she graduated in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, in Milan. A year later she founded the company ‘Prototype’ in Milan, and by 2004 was creating jewellery based on experimentation and the modeling of new shapes with the ductile and pliable materials silver and bronze, enriched with hard and semi-precious stones or wood. Upon returning to Tuscany, after various experiences in 3D processing and her daily life living in contact with nature, she became motivated anew. A part of her work dedicated to nature, is R/RdSV Serie (Revaluation of Vegetable Waste), the presentation of the green parts of tomato or garlic plants in Vegetable and in Bronze, unique pieces in free composition with the aim of making ‘desirable’ what is normally discarded.

OLGA NIESCIER VELATHRI ART GALLERY SAN GIMIGNANO

Olga Niescier, is a Polish born artist, designer and curator. She obtained her master’s degree in Fine Arts and Fashion Design in the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and in Fashion Design at the Polimoda Institute in Florence.
